I am a psychologist and senior researcher at the University of Cologne / Germany . I obtained my PhD from the University of Bonn in 1977 and since then have been working at the universities of Bonn, Cologne, Frankfurt, Erfurt, and Barcelona (Spain ).  In my teaching, I focus on learning and instruction, technology enhanced learning, motivation, emotion and personality development. My research activities have centered on ICT in education, with special emphasis on technology enhanced learning and on intercultural communication.
